Most of the time after an initial online meeting (although not always with cameras on) a memo/client relationship is over email, Whatsapp and Dropbox. It is a relationship of words - texts, emails and reports.
It means we get to know our clients' writing styles incredibly well.
If you were to give us a report from one of our clients with all details removed we would know who it is within seconds just from how they formulate their sentences, how they like to use bullet points, the terminology that is part of their own idiolect, and lots of other details that makes their work theirs.
Using a proofer means you keep your own voice and style, we are just a safety net for accuracy and for those fiddly jobs you don’t want to have to think about.
